Peter D'Elia graduated from Earlham College with degrees in Spanish and
Music. After completing the Third Stream program at the New England Conservatory
of Music in Boston, he moved to San Francisco in 1994 and composed and performed
for dance companies and in bands.
SF dance companies included The
Kook Troupe, and Rapt.
SF bands included Shawna Virago and the Deadly Nightshades,
Angela Valley,
Jtonal,
whirr,
and
The Bastard Brothers. Since April of 2005, he has been living
in Berlin, Germany performing regularly on dobro guitar and vocals for "kitsch pop" band
The Beez.
In 2007, he started playing bass for Berlin folk/indie-pop band Goodbye Wavers.

play music with roots as diverse as their bloodlines. Utilizing guitar,
mandolin, banjo, upright bass, and dynamic vocal harmony, they painstakingly
create original music and bastardized versions of folk, rock, country,
bluegrass... and some Cuban music. Playing everything from dulcet country
ballads to bluegrass versions of Frank Zappa, The Bastard Brothers delight
audiences of all ages with their high energy, musicality, and engaging
humor. |
